Constructed from a lightweight and abrasion-resistant microfiber upper and reinforced with strategically positioned TPU protectors, the SMX-1 R v2 Riding Shoe features a rubber compound sole with superior grip patterning for excellent grip both on and off the bike. Accordion flex zones provide support and control, regardless of your riding position.

  • Evolved closure strap, anatomically angled to follow the natural shape of the rider's instep.
  • Front Velcro® closure system for a quick and secure fit, permitting excellent flex while providing an easy fit over the instep area.
  • Aramidic fiber wires ensure durability, thinness, and lightness in the new strap closure system.
  • Exclusive Alpinestars compound rubber sole with a grip pattern for improved feel, water dispersion, and durability.
  • Sole features integrated Alpinestars TPF (Transversal Protection Frame) to protect against transversal loads.
  • Instep and Achilles accordion flex zones constructed from lightweight microfiber for optimized comfort and maneuverability on and off the bike.
  • Thermowelded flex grooves to control flexion and flexibility of the shoe in instep, medial, and back areas.
